Requesting Reuse of Image
Good afternoon-
Denny Schrock, Garden Books Editor, would like to use your photograph previously published by Meredith in Creating Water Gardens (page 43), of pond construction with rebar in the base of a pond site, in a new book for next spring, Building Waterfalls, Ponds and Streams. May we have your permission to use this photograph again, with the same fee agreement?
<Yes. Bob Fenner>

Pond Evaporation - 8/13/03
I have a fish pond that is about 300 gallons. I have been noticing that I have about 1 inch of level loss due to what I believe to be evaporation every day in the hot summer months. Is this a normal rate for evaporation or is this excessive?
<it's quite believably just evap. If you have hard or alkaline water, be sure to test water chemistry to monitor and chance of straying towards dangerous levels by adding hard or alkaline water to evaporated H2O of the same (now concentrated) composition. Anthony>
