| Papilloculiceps longiceps (Cuvier 1829), Tentacled or Carpet Flathead or Crocodilefish. To one meter in length. Western Indian Ocean; Red Sea, South Africa, Madagascar. The most common of nine species of platycephalids in the Red Sea. Occasionally offered as a juvenile, but a real vacuum-cleaner feeder even when small. Red Sea and aquarium pix. |
