Rhinopias frondosa (Gunther 1892), the
Weedy Scorpionfish. Indo-Western Pacific; East coast of Africa to
the Carolines, southern Japan. To 23 cm. in length. Aq. pic. |

Stichodactyla gigantea
(Forsskal 1775), the Gigantic (Carpet) Anemone. Family
Stichodactylidae. Has characteristic deeply folded bare-appearing
oral disc, rest of disc with short, tapering, blunt, waving
tentacles that are very sticky. Often found attached via a
relatively narrow column to something solid while surrounded by
sand in very shallow water. Come in browns, blue, green, pink,
purple tentacle colors. |

Stonogobiops dracula
Pollunin & Lubbock 1977, the Dracula Prawn Goby. Western Indian
Ocean: Seychelles, Maldives where it lives in pairs symbiotically
with Alpheus randalli. To 7 cm. in length. |

Zebrasoma flavescens
(Bennett 1828), (lau'ipala) the Yellow Sailfin Tang. This is a
"standard" in the marine aquarium hobby if there ever was
one. Only certain damselfish species grace the tanks of aquarists
more than Z. flavescens. To plate size, eight inches, in the
wild. |
