Cetoscarus bicolor (Ruppell 1829), the Bicolor Parrotfish. Likely the most commonly sold species of Parrotfish in the aquarium interest... almost exclusively as juveniles. Indo-Pacific, Red Sea to Tuamotus. To three feet in length (not a misprint). Juv. turning to female phase. Red Sea 08 trip.

Chaetodon fasciatus Forsskal 1775, the Red Sea Raccoon Butterflyfish. Click on the name for more information. Confined to the Red Sea and adjoining Gulf of Aden. A beauty that will eat all types of foods in captivity, including coral polyps... To some ten inches in length in the wild, about half that in captivity. Red Sea 08 trip.
