Plagiotremus laudandus (Whitley 1961), Bicolor Fangblenny. Western-Pacific; P.I., S. Japan to Lord Howe, Micronesia.  And possibly the Red Sea (?) Pic from the upper Sinai 2019... apparent mimic of Ecsenius gravieri... along w/ Meicanthus nigrolineatus... ?



Chlorurus genazonatus Randall & Bruce 1983, Sinai Parrotfish. West Pacific; Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. To a foot in length. Found mainly on reef slopes consuming attached algae. Sinai pic of a male/terminal phase individual 2019.



Chlorurus sordidus (Forsskal 1775), the Daisy or Bullethead Parrotfish. Indian Ocean, Red Sea. Mainly feeds on benthic algae. To sixteen inches overall length. A highly variably colored species for sure. An initial phase/female one in the upper Sinai, Red Sea 2019.
 


Scarus frenatus Lacepede 1802, the Bridled Parrotfish. Indo-Pacific. To 47 cm. in length. Initial phase/female one here in the upper Red Sea, 2019.
