Ophiopsila riisei Crevice Brittlestar. Thin arms, small
spines... Light color banding. Generally only seen at night. Roatan 2019
(at night).

Another typical offering, the "Doughboy"
Sea Star, Choriaster granulatus, Lutken 1869, is a big,
bulky Indo-Pacific asteroid that scavenges in reef shallows. It
should only be employed in systems of hundreds of gallons size with
corals that can be spared... as it is a coral eater. Juvenile in Roatan

Dichocoenia stokesi Mile Edwards &
Haime 1848, Elliptical Star Coral. Flattened plates or
boulder-shaped. elongated corallites spaced evenly. Bahamas photos of a
plate-like colony, close-up of a typical shallow water and deeper,
