Small Green Anemone ID      8/21/17
Hello Crew!
<Hey Em!>
We've had these small bright green anemones for some time now (hitchhikers from an encrusting Montipora rock). But they've started spreading rapidly at the start of this year. I initially thought they were majanos but none of the image searches matched ours.
<They appear to be Zoanthids actually>
When poked, they retract rapidly, first deflating as flat as possible before curling in their edges.
They're such an incredible green (especially under pure blues) that the pictures don't do justice. Though if they keep spreading at this rate I will have to start culling. :(
Best regards,
Emily
<Thank you for sharing; and yes to keeping them isolated on their own rock/bommie/s. Bob Fenner>
